Dr. Chérif's professional journey includes leading numerous international and national workshops and webinars centered on the science of positive psychology. Her current research delves into character strengths, resilience, and accomplishment, exploring practical applications to enhance leaders' well-being and performance.
Throughout her academic journey, Dr. Chérif has been honored with prestigious awards, including the Tunisian President’s Prize of Academic Excellence in 1999, Laval University’s Faculty of Social Sciences Excellence Award, and the Canadian Psychological Association’s Excellence Award for her doctoral thesis in 2005. Notably, she has received commendations such as the RMC Saint-Jean’s Commandant Coin in 2019, the RMC Commandant Coin in 2020, the Honorable John Matheson Academic Leadership Award at RMC in 2021, the RMC Principal Coin in 2022, and the Canadian Armed Forces Chief of the Defence Staff Coin in 2023.
Dr. Chérif also volunteers her time consulting on numerous college and greater community organizations and helping her young daughter’s award winning non-profit organization, Gnome for a Home, dedicated to assisting those experiencing homelessness.
