Bio

I am a physical oceanographer specializing in numerical predictions of coastal and shelf circulations. I received my Ph.D. in Physical Oceanography from Dalhousie University in 2016 and completed postdoctoral training at both Dalhousie University and Fisheries and Oceans Canada.

Research

My research focuses on the understanding and modelling of the hydrodynamics of fjords, continental shelves, and inland lakes, supporting real-time marine operations and operational oceanography. My current research activities cover several aquatic environments across Canada, including the Halifax Harbour on the East Coast, the Kitimat Fjord on the West Coast, the Pangnirtung Fjord on the Arctic Coast, and Lake Erie and Lake Ontario of the Great Lakes. Recently. I have also been focused on remote sensing applications in oceanography, particularly with the SWOT (Surface Water and Ocean Topography) and RCM (RADARSAT Constellation Mission) missions.

Student Opportunities

I am currently seeking skilled graduate and undergraduate students to join my Ocean Forecast research group. If you are keen on exploring training and research opportunities in Physical Oceanography, please get in touch.
