Col J.C. Tetreault

Colonel Chantal Tetreault enrolled in 1998 and graduated from the Royal Military College in 2003 with a baccalaureate degree in Chemical and Materials Engineering. 

Upon completion of her combat engineer phase training she was posted to 2 Combat Engineer Regiment (2 CER) where as a junior officer she mastered various positions. The most important being a troop commander which included an operational tour in Afghanistan. During her time in 5 CER, as the Regt Ops O, she participated in the International Disaster Relief in Haiti as part of Op HESTIA. Upon return to 2 CER in 2010, Col Tetreault spend time in both the support and field Squadrons as the Officer Commanding. Col Tetreault has had the privilege to Command 2 CER from 2018 - 2020. 

Col Tetreault has also held various staff positions in Ottawa, including Canadian Expeditionary Force Command (CEFCOM), Commander’s Aide-de-Camp, Capability Integration Engineer Officer and several positions at the Canadian Army Headquarters in the operations directorate. From 2020 to 2022 Col Tetreault was employed as the Deputy Commander of 4th Canadian Division Support Group.  

Promoted to her current rank in June 2022, Col Tetreault took command of TF EL GORAH and was employed as the Chief Liaison Officer with the Multinational Force and Observers (MFO) in South Sinai until August 2023.  She is now employed as the Director of Military Career. Col Tetreault will be appointed Director of Cadets at the Royal Military College of Canada in summer 2025. Col Tetreault holds two graduate degrees, a Masters in Defence Studies from the Canadian Staff College and a Master’s degree in Emergency and Disaster Management.
